Navy Vet Is Leader on all levels of the american legion
A life member of American
Legion Post 1682 in New City, N.Y., Vincent J. "Jim" Troiola served
in the U.S. Navy.
He has held various positions at every level of The American
Legion, including serving as Department Commander for 2010-2011 and as National
Vice Commander for 2016-2017.
He chaired the New York
American Legion Centennial Task Force for the Future and has been a member of
the faculty of The American Legion College of New York. At the national level
he chaired the Veterans Employment and Education Committee, and the National
Legislative Commission as well as serving on the Membership and Post Activities
Committee, the National Security Commission, and the Committee on Children and
Jim and his wife, Saveria, have two grown children and three grandchildren.
As a 29-year Paid-Up-for-Life member of William E. DeBevoise Jr American Legion Post 1682 in New City, N.Y., Jim credits a great deal of his advancement in The American Legion to his post and its members. His leadership at the post and county levels include:
